About the Pastor Thank you for visiting the information about the pastor of the Journey Church in Aiken, SC. My name is Mark Epps and I am the church planter who is starting the church. View my blog here! I was 7 years old when I received Jesus as my Lord and Savior, and 16 years old when I began to forget about this commitment. During my teens and early twenties I preferred to live for myself instead of God. In my Late twenties I actually read the Bible from cover to cover and GOD used this to radically change my life! The greatest days of my life have been since I met my wife Monika. She is the love of my life and the mother of our two boys Caleb and Jacob. Apart from the grace I received through the cross of Christ, God's amazing grace was bestowed upon me when He brought Monika, Caleb and Jacob into my life. I have had an interesting "journey" leading up to starting the Journey Church. Most recently, I served a large Southern Baptist Church as the minister of Missions and Education. Previous to that I helped to start churches in Salt Lake City, UT, and Louisville, KY. I also spent 12 months as a youth minister and realized I was really not supposed to be in youth ministry. I received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from The University of South Carolina, Aiken Campus. I received a Master of Divinity degree from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where my area of focus was missions, evangelism and church growth. My favorite things to do are of course, spending time with family, reading, listening to music, watching movies, and watching Ultimate Fighting, the Military Channel, and Fox News. |
